Calculator inputs
The appliance wattage, hours, and electricity rate you enter are calculated in your browser. WattPocket does not need an account and does not send those inputs to our server as part of the calculation.
Basic server information
Our hosting provider may process standard request information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, timestamp, and security signals to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and produce aggregated traffic statistics. Retention and handling are governed by the provider’s terms and settings.
Traffic analytics
WattPocket uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure visits, page views, referral sources, device categories, and site performance in aggregate. This analytics setup does not set analytics cookies or use local storage, and Cloudflare states that it does not fingerprint individuals for this service. Browser or content-blocking settings may prevent a visit from being measured. See Cloudflare’s Web Analytics overview for details.
WattPocket also records aggregate counts when a visitor runs a valid calculation, makes an advertising choice, follows a marked internal recommendation, or clicks a clearly labeled sponsored link. Each count contains the event name, page group, page path without its query string or hash, and a broad mobile, tablet, or desktop category. It does not contain calculator inputs, account or user IDs, cookie values, IP addresses, raw user-agent or referrer values, or URL query parameters, and it is not used to reconstruct individual sessions.
Advertising
When advertising is enabled, third-party advertising partners may use cookies, local storage, pixels, device identifiers, referrer information, approximate location, or similar technologies to select, deliver, limit, and measure ads. Some ad formats can open a new tab or window after a qualifying interaction. That behavior is controlled by the advertising partner under its own policy, not by WattPocket's calculator.
When a third-party advertising script is configured, WattPocket asks before loading it and stores your choice in local storage under wattpocket-ad-consent-v1. Declining leaves the script unloaded. You can clear the site’s local storage to make the choice again.
You can also limit many advertising identifiers through your browser settings, device privacy settings, or an industry opt-out service. Blocking third-party cookies or scripts may stop personalized or measured advertising.

Contact messages
If a WattPocket email address is available and you send a correction or question, we use the message and contact details only to respond, investigate the issue, and maintain a record of the correction.
When the contact page instead links to GitHub Issues, the issue and your GitHub account name are public and GitHub processes that information under its own privacy terms. Do not post utility account numbers, addresses, payment information, private contact details, or other sensitive data in an issue.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page when the site, hosting, analytics, or advertising setup changes. The latest revision date appears at the top.
