A standard kitchen blender uses between 300 and 600 watts, while high-end models can exceed 1,000 watts. Because you only run the motor for 30 to 60 seconds at a time, the actual energy consumed per use is barely measurable.
Tough ingredients
Blending frozen fruit or thick ice requires more motor torque, which pulls more wattage. Even then, the total runtime is so short that the cost remains less than a penny.
Easy maintenance
Adding enough liquid ensures the blades spin freely. A struggling motor uses more power and wears out faster, so proper blending technique extends the life of the machine.
